About the product
This Victron lithium iron phosphate battery is a Smart Lithium LiFePO4 model with a 12.8 V voltage, 50 Ah capacity and 640 W rating. It has Bluetooth and integrated cell balancing and cell monitoring.
Batteries can be connected in series, parallel or series/parallel to build banks for 12 V, 24 V or 48 V system voltages. The maximum is 20 batteries in one system, allowing maximum energy storage of 84 kWh in a 12 V system and up to 102 kWh in 24 V and 48 V systems.
The cell balancing and monitoring cables can be daisy-chained and must be connected to a Battery Management System (BMS). The BMS generates a pre-alarm below 3.1 V per cell, adjustable from 2.85 V to 3.15 V. It disconnects or shuts down the load below 2.8 V per cell, adjustable from 2.6 V to 2.8 V. It stops charging above 3.75 V per cell or when the temperature becomes too high or too low.
