Victron Inverter 24/1200 230V VE.Direct UK

The Victron Phoenix Inverter 24/1200 is an inverter with a 230 V output and a VE.Direct communication port. It allows domestic equipment requiring 230 V or 120 V AC to be powered using 12 V, 24 V or 48 V DC batteries.

The VE.Direct port can connect to a computer using a VE.Direct to USB interface cable, or to Apple and Android smartphones, tablets, MacBooks and other devices using a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle. Configurable settings include low-battery alarm trip and reset levels, low-battery cut-off and restart levels, and dynamic cut-off according to load. Output voltage can be set from 210 V to 245 V, and frequency can be set to 50 Hz or 60 Hz. ECO mode and its sense level are also configurable.

Monitoring covers input and output voltage, percentage load and alarms. In ECO mode, the inverter switches to standby when the load falls below a preset value; the minimum load is 15 W. In standby, it switches on briefly at adjustable intervals, every 2.5 seconds by default. It remains on when the load exceeds a preset level.

The inverter has a full-bridge and toroidal-transformer topology, is short-circuit proof and has protection against overheating from overload or high ambient temperature. High start-up power is intended for starting loads such as LED lamp power converters, halogen lamps and electric tools. A remote on/off switch can connect to a two-pole connector or between battery plus and the connector's left-hand contact. For LED diagnosis, please see the manual. A Filax Automatic Transfer Switch is recommended for transferring the load to another AC source; its stated switchover time is less than 20 milliseconds.
