About the product

The Powerlite RAC198 is a starter motor for Austin “Big” Healey models with a thin ring gear.

It is a direct replacement for the original unit and has a fixed stud to aid fitting. The offset, gear-reduced design uses steel internal gears and is compatible with the 100/4, 100/6 and 3000, from BN1 to BJ8. It draws less current from the battery.
