The Victron Energy Galvanic Isolator VDI-32A (GDI000032000) protects your boat from electrolytic corrosion by blocking low voltage DC currents that can enter via the shore power earth wire. Installed directly behind the 230V connection, this galvanic isolator uses two anti-parallel diodes that conduct only above about 1.4 Vdc, preventing stray currents from reaching underwater metals such as the hull, propeller and shaft.
