About the product
The Victron Orion is a DC-DC converter that converts 24 V DC to 12 V DC, with a maximum output load of 100 A.
It is IP67 rated and completely encapsulated. The converter is described as waterproof, shockproof and ignition protected; water, oil or dirt will not damage it. Its cast aluminium casing contains electronics moulded in resin, and it is protected against overheating.
- Input voltage range: 15–40 V
- Input and output cables: 1.8 m long
The wide input range is intended to maintain a stable output during surges or sags caused by other equipment connected to the same battery. The cables may avoid the need for intermediate cable interconnections to increase their length.
