Victron Battery Management System and Monitoring Kit

The Victron battery management and monitoring kit combines a VE.Bus BMS, Smart BatteryProtect, SmartShunt, Cerbo GX, Touch50 Display and VE.Direct Cable. The BMS is designed to interface with and protect one or more Victron Lithium Battery Smart 12,8V or 25,6V batteries (LiFePO4 or LFP) in systems with Victron inverters or inverter/chargers that use VE.Bus communication.

It monitors individual cells and protects batteries against overvoltage, undervoltage, over-temperature and under-temperature conditions. Depending on battery status, it can issue a pre-alarm for imminent cell undervoltage, disable inverting or loads when a cell is undervoltage, and disable charging for cell overvoltage or temperature conditions. It also has remote on/off terminals, can allow a GX device to remain powered during system shutdown, and can enable or disable VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers through a GX device.

• The 500A / 50mV SmartShunt has an IP65 rating and Bluetooth, VE.Direct and a connection for a second battery, midpoint monitoring or a temperature sensor.
• The SmartShunt connects to the VictronConnect app by Bluetooth or can be read by a GX device. Monitored information includes state of charge, time to go and historical information.
• The Smart BatteryProtect disconnects non-essential loads before complete battery discharge or insufficient power to crank the engine. Its engage/disengage levels can be set over Bluetooth or with one of nine predefined settings using the programming pin; Bluetooth can be disabled.
• The BatteryProtect is unidirectional: current flows from IN to OUT. For a load, the battery connects to IN; for a charger, the charger connects to IN.
