RAC803 Powerlite High Torque Starter Motor

The Powerlite RAC803 is a high torque starter motor for the Austin Mini with a pre-engaged ring gear.

It has a power rating of 1.60 kW, 12 V, 11 teeth and a weight of 3.00 kg. The compact, lightweight design is described as a direct replacement for the original unit and requires no vehicle modifications. Powerlite starters work with positive and negative polarity, except for the Slimeline Range.

The range is intended for road competition applications, particularly tuned engines and conditions that require extra starter motor performance. These gear reduction units are described as providing increased cranking speeds and more cranking power than original units while drawing less current from the battery.
