RAC802 Powerlite High Torque Starter Motor

The Powerlite RAC802 is a high torque starter motor with 1.60 kW power, 12 V voltage and 9 teeth. It weighs 3.00 kg.

The lightweight gear-reduction unit is described as offering increased cranking speeds and considerably more cranking power than original units while drawing less current from the battery. It is intended for road competition applications, particularly where engines have been tuned or adverse conditions require extra starter-motor performance.

Powerlite starters are direct replacements for original units and require no vehicle modifications. They work with positive and negative polarity, except for the Slimeline range. The compact, lightweight units may be easier to install than original units, and are modified where necessary to aid fitment.
