RAC801 Powerlite High Torque Starter Motor

The Powerlite RAC801 is a high torque starter motor with 1.60 kW power, 12 V and 9 teeth. It weighs 3.00 kg. The gear-reduction unit is described as a direct replacement for original units, requiring no vehicle modifications, and working with positive and negative polarity. Starter motors in the Slimeline range are excepted from the polarity statement.

Powerlite describes increased cranking speeds and cranking power compared with original units, while drawing less current from the battery. The compact, lightweight units are often easier to install than the original; units are modified where necessary to aid fitment. They are described as suitable for road competition applications, particularly with tuned engines or adverse conditions.
