About the product

The Powerlite RAC528 is a high-torque starter motor for a Classic Mini with a Verto flywheel. It replaces the original pre-engaged Lucas starter motor.

It delivers 1.3 kW through an epicyclic gearbox and has 11 teeth, a 12 V specification and a weight of 2.4 kg. The machined nose cone is made from solid aluminium and features an embossed Powerlite logo. The unit is not much longer than a ballpoint pen. It fits an Austin Mini with a pre-engaged ring gear.
