RAC468 Powerlite High Torque Starter Motor

The Powerlite RAC468 is a high torque starter motor with 1.20 kW power, 12 V voltage and 11 teeth. It is suitable for use with an oil cooler and fits a Mini with a pre-engaged Verto flywheel.

The 3.90 kg unit is a lightweight, gear-reduction starter. Powerlite describes its range as providing increased cranking speed and more cranking power than original units while drawing less current from the battery. The units are intended for road competition applications, particularly with tuned engines or in adverse conditions.

Powerlite starters are direct replacements for original units and require no vehicle modifications. They work with positive and negative polarity, except for the Slimeline range. Their compact, lightweight design can make installation easier than with the original unit, and units are modified where necessary to aid fitment.
