RAC424 Powerlite High Torque Starter Motor

The Powerlite RAC424 is a high-torque starter motor with gear reduction, designed as a direct replacement for the original unit.

It has a power rating of 1.40 kW, operates at 12 V, has 11 teeth and weighs 3.80 kg. The unit is stated to require no modifications to the vehicle for installation. Powerlite starters work with positive and negative polarity, except for the Slimeline range.

Fitments listed are Land Rover 109 with a 2.25 engine (1969–1982) or 2.6 engine (1972–1980); Land Rover 109 Forward Control with a 2.25 engine (1962–1966); Land Rover 110 Forward Control with a 2.25 engine (1966–1972); and Land Rover petrol engines of 2.25 (1972–1986) or 2.6 (1972–1986).
