RAC423 Powerlite High Torque Starter Motor

The Powerlite RAC423 is a high-torque starter motor that fits Volkswagen Caravelle and Volkswagen Transporter models. It has a power rating of 1.40 kW, 9 teeth, a 12 V voltage and a weight of 4.00 kg.

Powerlite describes its high-torque gear-reduction starter motors as lightweight units that provide increased cranking speeds and considerably more cranking power than original units, while drawing less current from the battery. They are intended for road competition applications, particularly where engines have been tuned or adverse conditions call for extra starter-motor performance.

Powerlite starters are direct replacements for original units and require no vehicle modifications. They work with positive and negative polarity, except for the Slimeline Range. The compact, lightweight units can be easier to install than the original unit, and units are modified where necessary to aid fitment.
