RAC409 Powerlite High Torque Starter Motor

The Powerlite RAC409 is a high torque gear reduction starter motor for listed Lotus and MGF applications. It has a 1.40 kW rating, 12 V voltage and 12 teeth, and weighs 3.90 kg.

Powerlite starter motors are direct replacements for original units and require no vehicle modifications. They work with positive and negative polarity, except for the Slimeline range. The compact, lightweight units are often easier to install than the original unit, and are modified where necessary to aid fitment.

The listed fitments include Lotus Elise K Series, Lotus S1 Elise K Series, Lotus S2 Elise K Series, MGF, Rover K Series 1.8 and Rover T Series 2.0. The units offer increased cranking speeds and more cranking power than original units while drawing less current from the battery.
