RAC303 Powerlite High Torque Starter Motor

The Powerlite RAC303 is a high torque starter motor for the Jaguar E-Type Straight 6 with a 4.2 engine and 29 mm pinion.

It is a gear-reduction unit with 1.00 kW power, 12 V, 9 teeth and a weight of 3.80 kg. The lightweight design is described as providing increased cranking speeds and more cranking power than original units while drawing less current from the battery.

Powerlite starters are direct replacements for original units and require no vehicle modifications. They work with positive and negative polarity, except for the Slimeline range. The compact units may be easier to install than the original, and are modified where necessary to aid fitment.
