RAC103 Powerlite High Torque Starter Motor

The Powerlite RAC103 is a high torque starter motor with 1.00 kW power, 12 V voltage and 9 teeth.

It weighs 4.10 kg and fits Triumph TR2, Triumph TR3 and Triumph TR3A Early models with a Pre “Bolt On” Ring Gear. It is described as a direct replacement for an original unit, requiring no vehicle modifications. Powerlite starters work with positive and negative polarity, except for the Slimeline Range.

The lightweight gear-reduction units are described as providing increased cranking speeds and cranking power while drawing less current from the battery. The range is intended for road competition applications, particularly where engines have been tuned or conditions are adverse. Units may be modified where necessary to aid fitment.
