RAC102 Powerlite High Torque Starter Motor

The Powerlite RAC102 is a high torque starter motor for Triumph TR3A, TR4 and TR4A models. It has a 12 V rating, 1.00 kW power and 10 teeth, and weighs 4.10 kg.

Powerlite describes its high torque gear reduction starter motors as lightweight units that provide increased cranking speeds and more cranking power than original units while drawing less current from the battery. They are intended for road competition applications, particularly where engines have been tuned or conditions are adverse.

Powerlite starters are direct replacements for original units and require no vehicle modifications, except for the Slimeline range. They work with positive and negative polarity, with the same Slimeline exception. The compact, lightweight units may be easier to install than original units, and are modified where necessary to aid fitment.
