RAC026 Powerlite Dynalite Lucas C42 Type Dynamo Positive Earth

The Powerlite RAC026 Dynalite is a Lucas C42 type dynamo with positive-earth polarity and a 40 A rating. It is designed to replicate an original dynamo and directly replace a dynamo unit without vehicle modifications.

The unit is self-regulating, and the control box is redundant. Wiring changes are simple and reversible: the control box can be bypassed or used as a junction point with two small wiring changes, or a Powerlite dummy control box can be fitted. The dummy box is identical in fitment and appearance to the original, is pre-wired to assist with the wiring changes and has a 40 A fuse. Use of a dummy control box is recommended where applicable.

The original dynamo pulley can be used in many cases, making the alternator conversion simple and reversible.
