RAC016 Powerlite Dynalite Dynamo Alternator Conversion

The Powerlite RAC016 Dynalite is an alternator conversion designed to replace a dynamo. This model is for the Porsche 356 (12 volt) and requires a modified upstand and negative earth.

It has a 15 mm shaft diameter, a 40 A rating and a Bosch OEM reference. The self-regulating unit makes the control box redundant. Wiring can be changed by bypassing the control box or using it as a junction point, with two small wiring changes. The preferred option is a Powerlite dummy control box.

Dummy control boxes are identical in fitment and appearance to the original, come pre-wired to aid the wiring changes, and have a 40 A fuse to protect the electrical system. They are recommended where applicable. Comprehensive fitting instructions are supplied with the Dynalite. Powerlite also offers fitting accessories, including pulleys and dummy control boxes.
