About the product
This front-mount intercooler core uses MVT technology for the Mini Cooper S R56 1.6T, 06-13. It is designed as a direct replacement for the original intercooler.
MVT, or Multi Vane Technology, uses carefully positioned vanes in the end tank to distribute air across the core. The core is TIG welded, and its black coating is described as improving heat dissipation.
On a Mini R56 Cooper S Stage 1 test car, the reported performance increase was 15.7 hp and 10.6 Nm. Intake temperature was reported to drop by 46°C, with an overall temperature drop of 106.4°C. The test compared the stock intercooler with the MVT unit.
