About the product

The Masterplug RCD adaptor is a plug-in safety device for monitoring the electrical supply and responding to earth leakage faults. It plugs into a standard UK mains socket and is compatible with 240 V appliances, including power tools and other portable electrical equipment.

When it detects an earth current fault, the adaptor cuts power within 40 milliseconds. Installation is by plugging in, with no wiring required.

It is not suitable for pond pumps or other pond equipment: removing those devices from the circuit leaves the installation unprotected. The adaptor is recommended for outdoor power tools and portable equipment.
