About the product

The Makita PB002G is a cordless portable band saw with a brushless motor, powered by a 40 V Max XGT Lithium-Ion battery. It is designed mainly for cutting steel pipes from 4 to 4½ inches.

It has a variable blade speed of 0–3.2 m/sec², constant speed control, lock-on function, electric brake and anti-restart function. Pipe capacity is 127 mm for round pipe and 127 x 127 mm for square pipe. The blade is 1,140 mm long, 13 mm wide and 0.5 mm thick.

Features include twin LED work lights with pre-glow and afterglow, a tool-less blade change, easy blade installation and removal, screw-adjusted blade tracking and an adjustable stopper plate. The set includes a 2.5 Ah battery, DC40RA Fast Charger Set, band saw blade and hex wrench; no case is included. Noise sound pressure is 80 dB(A), with a 3 dB(A) K factor. Vibration is 2.5 m/sec², with a 1.5 m/sec² K factor.
