The Makita LS1040N is a 260 mm mitre saw with a 110 V supply. It has a 1650 W input, a 30 mm bore and a no-load speed of 4600 rpm.

Features include double insulation, an electric brake and a built-in dust collection system. The saw makes bevel cuts to the left only, with a maximum bevel range of 45–90°. Its maximum mitre range is also 45–90°.
