The Makita DPB183 is an 18 V LXT cordless brushless portable bandsaw for cutting metal, including pipe, square tubing and sheet metal. Its round pipe capacity is 66 mm, and its square pipe capacity is 66 × 66 mm.

The bandsaw has a brushless motor, variable speed control dial, constant speed control, electric brake and LED job light. Blade speed ranges from 0 to 3.2 m/sec. Blade track adjustment is made by turning the screw, and the blade can be installed and removed easily. An adjustable stopper plate and lock-off button are also included among its features.
