Hyundai i20N 2020+ MVT Front Mount Intercooler Kit

This Hyundai i20N front-mount intercooler kit uses MVT (Multi Vane Technology) and is designed for vehicles from 2020 onwards. It is a direct replacement for the original setup and has a black coating.

Carefully positioned vanes in the end tank distribute air across the core. The kit is fully TIG welded, and its design was developed using 3D CAD and CFD modelling. The black coating is described as improving heat dissipation.

On the stated test car, output rose from 210.4 hp and 303.2 Nm to 223.2 hp and 318.8 Nm without additional tuning: an increase of 12.8 hp and 15.6 Nm. Intercooler inlet temperature was measured at 122.8°C. The stock intercooler reduced this to 39.7°C at the outlet; with MVT installed, outlet temperature was 18.3°C, a further 21.4°C reduction and an overall temperature drop of 104.5°C from the inlet measurement.

The results are from a test car run on a Maha MSR 500 dyno. The kit is described as offering tuning potential when combined with a remap and supporting modifications.
