About the product
This MVT front mount intercooler core is a direct replacement for the original intercooler on the Ford Fiesta ST MK8.5 1.5 from 2018 onwards.
Its core volume is increased by 120%. MVT uses carefully placed vanes in the end tank to distribute air across the core. The intercooler is TIG welded and designed using 3D CAD and CFD modelling.
- On the test car, power increased from 214.6 hp to 220.3 hp and torque from 312.9 Nm to 320.2 Nm, without additional tuning.
- Measured intercooler outlet temperatures fell from 46.6°C to 20.1°C, a 56% reduction.
