This MVT front-mount intercooler kit is designed for the BMW E90 335i N54, 06–13, and is a direct replacement for the original core.
Its end-tank vanes distribute air across the core. The design uses 3D CAD and CFD modelling; the intercooler is TIG welded and has a black coating.
- On a BMW 3 Series 335i test car, output rose from 290.5 hp and 400.9 Nm to 296.8 hp and 420.8 Nm without additional tuning.
- With a Stage 2 map, output rose from 381.5 hp and 568.8 Nm to 397 hp and 580.2 Nm.
- In the Stage 2 test, intercooler outlet temperatures fell by 19.1°C.
- Testing used a Maha MSR 500 Dyno.
