About the product

The Wiha Non-Contact Voltage Detector 12-1000V AC is a testing instrument for detecting AC voltage from 12 to 1,000 V without direct contact. Optical and audible signals indicate the presence of voltage, while a green LED shows when the tester is ready.

During testing, blue, orange and red LEDs indicate weak, moderate and strong electrical fields respectively. The detector can be used to locate cable breaks and interruptions, identify blown fuses, test defective light bulbs on light chains and check whether circuits have been isolated before work begins. Its measurement tip suits all socket variants worldwide.
