The Webasto Thermo Top Evo 5 is a diesel water heater kit for narrowboats, supplied with a 12 V heater and water pump rated at 5.0 kW. It includes a programmable 7-day digital timer for independent heating. The heater operates with radiators or heater matrix units to distribute warmth, and a plate heat exchanger is required for domestic hot water.

The kit contains a dedicated narrowboat electrical harness, a 5-litre expansion header tank, a stainless steel marine exhaust silencer with lagging, and an exhaust hull skin fitting with clamps and fixings. Fuel components include a copper pipe system with metering pump, a fuel stand pipe, and a dedicated marine fuel filter kit with fuel shut-off valve. Clips, screws and a comprehensive installation manual are also included.

The heater has a compact design and aluminium casing described as resistant to high temperature and salt. The source notes that, when installed correctly, the kit complies with UK Inland Waterways regulations. Webasto UK manufacturer’s warranty applies. Additional heater blower matrices are available for distributing warm air.
