The Webasto Air Top EVO 55 is a 12 V diesel air heater kit for vehicle heating, with a maximum heat output of 5.5 kW. It operates independently of the vehicle’s engine and provides temperature pre-selection using a control thermostat or digital timer.

The kit includes the heater with temperature controller rheostat, electrical harnesses and connections, 0.5 metres of stainless steel exhaust pipe, 0.5 metres of combustion intake pipe, an 8mm fuel T-piece, a fuel system with plastic pipe, fuel metering pump and hose clips, an air entry grille, clips, screws and an installation manual.

It has automatic high-altitude sensing. A Webasto Multi Control HD timer is required to enable high-altitude operation. A Multi-Control 7-day Timer can be added as an upgrade; this also requires a Webasto 3.5m timer extension wiring harness. The kit does not include a fuel standpipe, ducting or air outlets. The stated applications include trucks, vans, small buses, caravans, motorhomes, mobile workshops and 4 x 4 vehicles for rear heating. Warranty: 24 months.
