Sealey TA310 AC/DC Current Clamp

The Sealey TA310 is an AC/DC current clamp for measuring current draw from vehicle components in situ with a standard multimeter. It measures AC and DC current without breaking into the circuit, with 20A and 80A settings.

Its Ø12mm clamp opening and Ø8mm maximum conductor size are suited to testing individual wires. The clamp connects through red and black 4mm banana plugs to a multimeter with a 200mV or 2V range. It can also be used with an oscilloscope when fitted with a suitable BNC conversion adaptor.

• 20A output: 100mV/A (1mV/10mA); use DC or rms AC with the multimeter's 2V range.
• 80A output: 10mV/A; use DC or rms AC with the multimeter's 200mV range.
• Powered by a 9V DC battery, with a typical alkaline battery life of 80 hours.
• Red LED low-battery indicator.
• Operating temperature: 0°C to 50°C; storage temperature: -15°C to 50°C.
• Dimensions: 190mm × 70mm × 38mm. Supplied with a storage pouch and 9V battery.
