Sealey AK2946 Butane Gas Heating / Soldering Torch Kit

The Sealey AK2946 is a butane gas torch kit for soldering, heating and heat-shrink applications. It has piezoelectric ignition for one-handed starting without matches or a separate lighter, and adjustable temperature control from approximately 0 to 450°C.

The removable solder tip allows a change between precision soldering and an open flame. A flameless heat source adaptor is included as an option for heat-sensitive work. The kit also contains three solder tips, a hot knife tip, deflector nozzle, sponge stand, safety cap, solder wire and spanner.

Powered by butane lighter fuel, the torch is portable and does not depend on mains power. Its net weight is 0.42 kg. Applications include electrical, plumbing and general workshop tasks, as well as electronics repair and heat-shrink tubing installation. A compact storage case keeps the components organised between jobs.
