About the product
The NGK SD05FM is a resistor spark plug cap in black EPDM rubber, intended for competition and trial applications.
Its resistor element is positioned between the plug terminal and the high-tension wire connection. NGK resistor covers are constructed with ceramic materials, a phenolic resin plug connector and rubber. Rubber liners at both ends help prevent moisture from causing electrical leakage. The cover uses heat-press insertion in its construction.
NGK resistor covers are designed for noise suppression. In some engines, a combination of a resistor cover and an R-type resistor spark plug is needed to satisfy ministry tests.
