The NGK VD05EM (8422) is a spark plug cap with a resistor element pressed between the plug terminal and the high-tension wire connection.

The resistor element is long enough to prevent interior flashover, and steady resistance is maintained. Ceramic materials are incorporated; the plug connector is made of phenolic resin, alongside rubber material. Rubber liners at both ends prevent moisture from causing electrical leakage. Heat-press insertion makes the construction vibration-resistant.

Box dimensions are 100 mm high, 70 mm wide and 25 mm long.
