NGK Glow Plug YE14 (5661)

The NGK YE14 is a glow plug with a marked voltage of 4.4 V. NGK glow plugs provide heat for diesel-engine cold starts; the heating element is enclosed in a metal sheath, or in a ceramic sheath on fast-heating types.

The heater element reaches well over 800°C within seconds of the ignition being switched on. A quick, even glow improves cold-weather starting and reduces white smoke and rattle during the first minutes of running.
