About the product
The NGK Y-609AS (6074) is a sheathed glow plug that provides additional energy for starting an engine. Before starting, it is energised and its heater tube heats to more than 800 °C. This heat improves cold-start ability and optimises combustion, reducing the development of smoke and other emissions.
