Lumenition MTK001 Magnetronic Ignition Kit – Bosch 009 & 050 Distributors

The Lumenition MTK001 is a Magnetronic electronic ignition kit designed for Bosch 009 and 0231170 distributors. Its compact Hall-effect-based module replaces traditional breaker points and condensers and fits inside the distributor body.

Installation uses one screw and two wiring connections. The kit requires a standard contact breaker coil. A standard 12 V, 3 Ohm coil is recommended; the MS6 is given as an example. The MS4 ballast coil is another option and must be used with a ballast resistor. Some vehicles have a resistor built into the wiring loom; otherwise, one must be fitted externally. The MS4 coil comes supplied with a ballast resistor.
