The Moore and Wright 33124 is a firm joint outside caliper with a 600 mm (24 in) effective leg length, for measuring substantial components and larger external dimensions.

It is made from polished tool steel and has a large headed nut and screw assembly that forms a firm, rigid friction joint with no play. Its measuring capacity extends approximately one-third beyond the stated leg length. The caliper is manufactured to BS3123 standards.
