The Makita UT001G is a cordless mixer with a 40 V brushless motor powered by a lithium-ion XGT battery. Its mechanical two-speed gearing offers high and low settings: no-load speeds are 0–920 rpm on high and 0–500 rpm on low.

Speed can be adjusted using the trigger and dial, allowing finer adjustment alongside the two-speed gearing. Constant speed control applies additional motor power to maintain speed under load. Soft start provides a slower start-up to help minimise material spatter.
