The Makita UC030G is a 40 V XGT cordless brushless chainsaw with a 500 mm guide bar and chain. It runs on Makita XGT Li-ion batteries and has a maximum chain speed of 29 m/s.

Chain speed modes are Eco, Medium and High, with variable speed control through the trigger and a mode-memory function. Adjustable automatic chain lubrication uses a large oil reservoir. The saw has a main power switch with automatic power-off, mechanical and electric chain brakes, a metal spike bumper and a tool-free air filter cover. eXtreme protection technology is designed for improved dust and water resistance.
