The Makita SD100D is a cordless drywall cutter for cutting plasterboard and light timber. Its 12V CXT lithium-ion battery system powers variable-speed cutting at up to 6,000 strokes per minute, with a 6 mm stroke length.

The cutting depth can be adjusted for board thicknesses up to 30 mm in drywall and 15 mm in wood. The orbital mechanism and blade design support straight cuts, while the LED job light illuminates the cutting area. A protective base cover helps prevent scratches to finished plasterboard.
