The Makita PV001G is a 40 V Max XGT cordless brushless polisher with a 180 mm maximum wheel diameter. It is designed mainly for polishing applications in the car painting industry.

Variable speed control, a lock-on function, trigger lock, soft start, constant speed control and anti-restart function are included. The lower maximum rotation speed is for curved sections, narrow spaces or finish polishing; the higher maximum speed is for scratch removal with polishing compound. It also has an easy-to-grip head shape, dust cover and a speed dial marked with the maximum rotation speed.
