The Makita GA022G is a 40 V XGT cordless brushless angle grinder with a 115 mm wheel. Its brushless motor and XGT battery are designed to work together, and the grinder provides variable speed control for cutting and grinding.

Features include an anti-restart function, electric brake, soft start and slide on/off switch. Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) shuts the tool down if the rotation speed suddenly slows. The Auto Start Wireless System (AWS) connects by Bluetooth to compatible dust extractors, which run automatically while the switch is on. The tool-less wheel cover adjusts to the desired position, and a detachable auxiliary handle is included.
