About the product

The Makita DUX18 is an 18 V LXT cordless garden multi-tool kit with a brushless motor and split shaft. It includes EM404MP brushcutter, EY403MP pole saw and EN402MP hedge trimmer attachments, plus a shoulder strap, hex wrench and accessory bag. Batteries and charger are not included.

The motor has soft start, an electric brake, variable speed control, Constant Speed control, overload protection and Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT). No-load speed is 0–6,800/9,700 rpm at low/high settings, and maximum output is 470 W. It has a loop handle and uses Makita LXT lithium-ion batteries.

  • The brushcutter attachment has a steel drive shaft and bump-and-feed trimmer head.
  • The pole saw attachment has a 300 mm chainsaw bar, transparent oil tank and branch hook.
  • The hedge trimmer has a 500 mm double-edged blade; its angle-adjustable head moves through 13 stages from 90° up to 90° down.
  • Attachments fit using a tool-less slide joint coupling with clip-lock fixing.
