About the product

The Makita DUX18 is an 18 V split-shaft garden multi-tool power head with a brushless motor, designed for use with garden multi-tool attachments. It has high and low no-load speeds of 0–9,700 rpm and 0–6,800 rpm respectively, and a maximum output of 470 W.

The kit includes the EE400MP edging tool, EM406MP line trimmer, SW400MP power sweeper and EN402MP hedge trimmer attachments, plus a shoulder strap, hex wrench and accessory bag. Batteries and charger are not included.

  • The edging attachment has an 8-inch steel blade, a guide marking on the blade guard and an adjustable wheel for setting cutting depth.
  • The line trimmer has a steel drive shaft and a bump-and-feed trimmer head.
  • The power sweeper is designed to clear pebbles, sand or leaves without damaging grass, and water or light snow from hard pavements.
  • The hedge trimmer has a 500 mm double-edged blade and a head adjustable in 13 stages from 90° up to 90° down.
  • Features include a loop handle, overload protection, electric brake, variable and constant speed control, soft start and Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT).
  • Attachments can be swapped without tools.
