About the product

The Makita DUX18 is a cordless garden multi-tool kit with an 18 V LXT brushless power head and three attachments: an EM404MP brushcutter, EY403MP pole saw and EN402MP hedge trimmer. The kit also includes a 5Ah BL1850B Li-ion battery, DC18RC charger, shoulder strap, hex wrench and accessory bag.

The power head has a loop handle, soft start, electric brake, variable speed control, constant speed control, overload protection and Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT). Its low/high no-load speeds are 0–6,800/9,700 rpm, and maximum output is 470 W. Attachments connect using a tool-less slide joint coupling secured by a clip-lock.

  • The brushcutter attachment has a steel drive shaft and bump-and-feed trimmer head.
  • The pole saw attachment has a 300 mm chainsaw bar, transparent oil tank and branch hook.
  • The hedge trimmer attachment has a 500 mm double-edged blade. Its angle-adjustable head moves through 13 stages from 90° up to 90° down.
