The Makita DUX18 is a cordless split-shaft power head for the Makita 18 V LXT platform. It has a brushless motor, loop handle, overload protection and an electric brake, alongside soft start, variable speed control and constant speed control.

Compatible optional attachments include hedge trimmer, line trimmer, brush cutter and pole saw attachments. They can be changed without additional tools. Active Feedback Sensing Technology shuts down the tool if rotation speed drops suddenly.
