About the product
The Makita DSC121 is a cordless brushless threaded rod cutter powered by an 18 V LXT battery. It cuts mild and stainless steel threaded rods between 8 and 12 mm in diameter, with a cutting speed of approximately 3 seconds.
It accommodates M8, M10 and M12 metric rods, as well as W5/16, W3/8 and W1/2 imperial sizes. With a single 18 V 6.0 Ah battery charge, it can make up to 500 cuts in M12 mild steel threaded rod. A battery fuel gauge shows charge levels, while the reverse switch helps release cut rods. Battery protection safeguards against over-discharge and overheating.
