About the product

The Makita DJS161 is a cordless metal straight shear powered by an 18V lithium-ion battery. It is supplied without a battery, charger or case, and is compatible with Makita 18V LXT batteries.

Its double-blade design is intended to minimise material distortion. Cutting capacities are up to 1.6 mm in mild steel, 2.5 mm in aluminium and 1.2 mm in stainless steel. The shear operates at 4300 strokes per minute and has a minimum cutting radius of 250 mm.
