Makita DHR242 18v LXT Cordless Brushless SDS Plus Hammer Drill 2 x 5ah Li-ion Battery Charger Case

The Makita DHR242 is an 18 V cordless SDS Plus hammer drill with a brushless DC motor. Its three operating modes are rotary drilling, hammer drilling and chiselling, and its one-touch slide chuck allows SDS Plus bit changes.

Drilling capacity is 13 mm in steel, 24 mm in concrete and 27 mm in wood. The drill has an impact energy of 2.0 J, a no-load speed of 0–950 rpm and a blow rate of 0–4,700 bpm. Vibration values are 3.5 m/sec² for drilling, 10.5 m/sec² for chiselling and 13.5 m/sec² for hammer drilling; the vibration K factor is 1.5 m/sec².

The tool body has upper and lower housings joined at the foot of the handle with vibration-absorbing cushion rubbers. This construction suppresses vibration transmission to the battery terminals. The handle is ergonomically designed, and net weight is 3.3 kg. The set includes a depth gauge, side handle, two BL1850B 18 V Li-ion 5 Ah batteries, a DC18RC 18 V charger and a MakPac Type 4 Connector Case.
